>>51641790>>51641938Because I have no life, I just spent the last hour combing the National Dex checking which Pokemon have thumbs. It's not a simple question to answer since it's not exactly clear. I looked for fingers that are distinct from other fingers and decidedly look and/or function as thumbs. Some are unclear and I tended to leave those off. There are Pokemon like Ledian and Clobbopus with thumb-esque bumps but they don't function at all like thumbs, so I didn't count them. I also didn't count Rotom-Heat since its just imitating oven mitts, they're not thumbs. There are a metric fucjkton of Pokemon with three fingers where they will arbitrarily use one of them as a thumb-like appendage, but I primarily relied on the official art of each Pokemon to make my decisions, so if they weren't using it as a thumb in that art, like Gardevoir, I didn't count it. If a Pokemon does use something like a thumb despite it not clearly being a thumb, like Decidueye, I usually put it on the list to be safe.
By my count it's 104, or 11.2% of all Pokemon, not counting alternate forms. Counting fringe cases you're probably looking at 120 tops.
