>>21739008>3/4 of a thousand Pokemon have been created to date>most of the new ones are blatant rehashes of themes and animals that have already been emulated in Pokemon form (pic related)>Most people who have been with this series since the very beginning are getting fatigued by the lack of creativity and find it hard to even remember all of the new Pokemon, let alone form affinities to much of them>it's getting much harder for our adult brains to keep up with the constant output of increasingly indistinguishable monsSorry, but when you've got a franchise that's nearly 20 years old and that keeps pumping out new content like Pokemon, you're bound to get some less than memorable pokemon created. It's just a fact. Your fanboy goggles are pretty thick if you think every pokemon is inherently fresh and memorable.
I try really hard not to be a genwunner, but if I'm going to be honest with myself, a geodude holds infinitely more memorability for me than, say, a bidoof or [insert gen 3/4/5 edgy overdesigned dragon legendary here].
