I'd kind of understand if it were a class assignment, and he just was such a nerd he HAD to make it about Pokemon, but judging from the comments, he volunteered to give a fucking speech on competitive Pokemon.
Though I guess we'd have to see what those other nerds talked about to truly judge him. Maybe he was the least cringeworthy of them all.
