What, really, is the difference between Clefable, Lickitung, Wigglytuff, Ditto, and Chansey? The type change was entirely arbitrary. Sure, Fairy fits Clefairy better than Normal, but Cyber fits Porygon better than Normal, Egg fits Chansey better than Normal, Tongue fits Lickitung better than Normal, and Goop fits Ditto better than Normal. There's no point in adding Cyber, Egg, Tongue, or Goop as types though, just like there was no point in spinning Fairy off into its own type.
