I actually think the Blue Pentagon thing is a good rule for in-game competitive play, since it greatly reduces the barrier to entry. Things like Wish Blissey just aren't fair to all the players who can't get one. Sucks that they won't apply it to the Battle Spot though, only shitty VGC.
Fairies may seem a little underwhelming at first, but they did get rid of all the fucking Outrage spam, which I think is a good enough nerf.
