>>51191322> You're forgetting that these are still attacks they're taking, it is always a risky tactic with a chance of failure and isn't doable in a lot of instances.Anon, what does any of that have to do with what I said? I said neither Pokémon had previously displayed the capabilities of doing so, and only one out of the two actually practiced the technique to solidify it as a proper ability in its arsenal. As you just said, mons don’t even know if they can actually do that, so how did Torracat know? Everyone in the stadium was surprised by it. It wasn’t something previously established or hinted at, it was just something Torracat came up with and it worked completely.
> No, it became overwhelmed and had to return to let it get used to the power-up.??? And? It didn’t change anything. It got “used” to it by sitting in its Pokeball for a couple minutes while taking in all the heat, then immediately dropping an overpowered Fire Blast the moment it came out. There was no consequence beyond it having to be recalled for a short amount of time. It didn’t even struggle with it during battle like when Melmetal was getting used to Double Iron Bash. Again, it became unstoppable.
> But it didn't, it was only switched out.I’m talking about when Ash did the exact same thing later when he had Pikachu use Quick Attack and then it immediately got captured and consequently KO’d by Grapploct. It was a nonsensical stupid move on Ash’s part.
> And?Okay, what does that have to do with what I said though? And that’s not even entirely true. Gliscor’s technique wasn’t created to counter Paul, it was created so it could use Giga Impact without having to deal with the side effects. It being able to counter the tails was a convenient coincidence. He fell for the same technique four different times (Buizel, Staraptor, Infernape, and Pikachu) during the same battle.
> He literally didn'tWhy are you lying?
