>>28980957Although I don't disagree with you, if their choice is to mimic something like One Piece with the S/M anime there is a chance it could turn out to be better than before. I realise this is totally opinion and taste based, but I think that shows that can balance characters that can be goofy and funny in a lot of "regular" situations, with characters being able to be serious when the time comes, is when characters can really start to shine. If we eventually get cool shit happening in S/M like XYZ
which I don't think anyone should rule out just yet then a build up of Satoshi with personality just to see him drop his goofiness during a really serious and tense moment can be an amazing thing.
Once again, this is totally just my opinion and I realise some other people don't think this way, but there you go. A lot of successful shounen characters have protagonists who most of the time are just goofy, but when the time comes they step up to the plate. That kind of thing.
