At the risk of devolving the thread, politics. Each side just bitches about the other side and even when one side wins the other side fights them over it so any positive ideas one side might have never gets acted on and ultimately makes the entire system feel like a total waste of time. It doesn't help that everyone pressures me to vote when I want nothing to do with it and the fact that people will get insanely heated over it.
