>>29045742I think that a bad design relies mostly on not being able to properly convey what the concept is about. Like for example, creating a monster with disproportionate anatomy even though the concept dictates it must have a realistic anatomy results in a bad design in my opinion.
I don't really have many proper examples since the only other two monster franchises I've played are Yo-Kai Watch and Fossil Fighters.
In the 3rd installment of Fossil Fighters the art direction was changed completely and with it some dinos got redesigned. Most look fine, but some deviated too much from their main concept. That's not to say the previous designs were GOAT-tier, but instead of drastically changing them, they could have been updated like the other half of the dinos.
