The fact that Sword and Shield was so commercially successful only makes it worse now since this shows Game Freak that they can put in less and less and put less and less effort in to their games and people are still going to eat it up. It's going to get a point where the player's legendary is their starter Pokemon and they become champion by walking only 10 steps.
