Everybody say something nice about Brockette, my 9th monotype champion, the previous 8 having been Bug, Electric, Poison, Fairy, Steel, Fighting, Ghost, and Grass. I initially began these as a joke with the punchline that Bug Catchers are jobbers so I played as a Bug Catcher one day expecting it to be pretty difficult, but it actually turned out being one of the easiest types to work with. The hardest were poison in ORAS (Steven lol) and fighting in UM, the latter in particular being a truly horrific endeavor. On top of strict monotyping, other rules that I always follow in my runs are set mode and no x-items. In this most recent run though I also didn’t use any potions or revives, however I did admittedly cheese ultra Necrozma with toxic/protect spam because fuck that nigga.
