I named my Minccino, and later Cinccino, Metla. It's supposedly a slovak word for broom, broom because of the details in Minccino's Pokedex entries.

I used a similar naming scheme for everything in my White 2 run. Take a word related to the Pokemon, dump it into Google Translate, and keep trying different languages until you get something that sounds like it could work as a name. I'm thinking I may reuse that in my Y version run.
