You motion your head over to Serena for added emphasis. Straightaway, a crafty smile grows on her face. She takes another bite out of her apple before answering.

You cringe, "Whoa, whoa, hold up. Chew your food first and swallow it, THEN speak. That's just nasty to look at. I'm not going to look after a little girl that can't even handle her own manners."
Alice doesn't see anything wrong with it, but that's probably because she's still just a tot. She nods and takes a pause to gulp down her assorted bits of fruit.
"S-Sorry poppy."
"Yeah yeah, now what were you going to say?"
"Ummmm, ah! Um, mum-mum said that...uhh,~ she wanted 't do something nice for you, poppy!~ Yeah, yeah! And I helped her out, I helped a ton! And we stayed up aaaaaaaaaaaaall night, and then she gave me an apple for being good!"
"When did she go to sleep?"
"Ummmmm..." still a rookie at time, Alice looks at her fingers and individually counts each of them. She stops at six, "Poppy, how many minutes are an 'our?"
"Sixty?"

"...You're saying she went to sleep an hour ago."

"Damn.. She didn't have to go through all that trouble."
