the longer these designs exist as pokemon the less and less I like them
I've only warmed up to like 3, and soured on the rest
I'm so fucking tired of incredible concepts having abysmal execution, this stupid trend that's been going strong since gen 7 is killing my love for the series quicker than GF is sinking its own reputation
and when a mon in this gen isn't a great concept with terrible execution, it's lazy dogshit like Flamigo, Quaxly, Paldean Tauros, Wugtrio, the Pawmi line, etc etc etc
At least Dudunsparce has the excuse of literally being based on and being a joke, as well as an execution that doesn't ruin what made its original great
you could easily rework almost two thirds of the bottom half of this list into something GREAT but GF decided not to and I will never forgive this gen for that
>>53217234I really don't understand how Ceruledge and Armarouge heavily clash with the series aesthetic, they're some of the most Pokémon-like Pokemon in this gen to me. Maybe I'm just used to more overt humanoids due to stuff like Bisharp and Greninja? Dunno. I can't help but like the designs though. They're not outstanding or anything, but I do like them
