Gens 1-3 are peak Pokémon. Gen 4 was when Pokémon died. Too many HMs, over the top story, the start of derivative and unoriginal Pokémon designs.
The only reason you would disagree with this is because you weren’t alive for Pokemania and you don’t understand what Pokémon once was.
