You (the player) control a character that Arceus created for you during the into.
the mission he gives you is basically to play and see his world and his creations.
at the end of the game he gives the blessing to you AND to your character (pic related).
in the Italian version he says
"Quale che sia il tuo cammino... e l'universo in cui proseguirà la tua vita... avrai sempre la mia benedizione."
which means "Whatever your path ... and the universe in which your life will continue ... you will always have my blessing" which implies you playing other pokemon games
