its the watercolor art my dude. also, gen II is top 3 in terms of being comfy. team rocket encounters are slightly more fleshed out. level scaling and item distribution, pokemon availability can limit your experience if your playing it for the first time in 2019. I wonder what my perception would be without nostalgia goggles, as this is my favorite installment as well. I had the guidebook, so the art was slapping. hope this helps
