But I really do think pokemon ruined themselves for me when pokemon masters came out. I already hated the anime for personifying the characters from the games, as I saw them more as blank slate self inserts for you to put yourself into. Pokemon Masters has completely ripped that away by giving EVERY player character some stupid fucking personality that I never saw the character I was playing having. The only reason for me to play Pokémon anymore is to collect the little fuckers and that’s it.
