It's the first pokemon game with real co-op the shiny hunting is easy as fuck and it has the best looking battles to come out of a pokemon game thus far all on your big screen tv or on the go at your convenience.
This is THE pokemon game out now it's the face of the franchise with a ton of new features and reasons to battle and play with each other. The game is now more social than it's ever been with a open field that incorporates everything from weather to the day and night system. Not to mention that the character customization is the best it's been in the series. Most of the flaws are only present to people who have been playing this series for years and buy every installments anyway then proceed to bitch about it.
Literally no one gives a shit about whining nerds who are never satisfied with anything it never weighed on my mind. I stopped playing pokemon for years before this came out and only bought it because of the above features mentioned. Now im in love with it again I'm sure it's the same story for tons of people.

Obviously this didn't matter because your meta gen 7 was a cluster fuck of god awful that needed cleaning and most of the gameplay resides in the multiplayer elements. I'm spending hours building my team for multiplayer doing raids and battling not worrying about some anime fags saving the world or whatever nonsense you want the single player. go and play gen 7 again for all i care if you want more of that trash
If I want to play a good single player pokemon it's gotta be gen 5/ 2 or some rom hack but if I want to play POKEMON as in actually battling/co-oping with living breathing people im going with gen 8 as there is no better option. Stick to showdown you dorks literally no one dares.
