Even worse, I came in on the exact same wave, and was part of, the cancer that KLK brought to /a/ in like late 2013.
I think the show was alright, but the hype was the most fun part.I've never even done anything with Reddit, I was only attracted to 4chan because of certain really cool classmates (or so I thought back in 2009-2010) and guildies while I was unknowingly in some /vg/ guild. I thought I was always pretty convincing, but thinking back to earlier posts and looking at images I'd saved, and still do, I can definitely see how I'll never get there.
The one mystery to me still is if the more toxic and unfunny memes (such as everyone using "desu baka senpai" like a year ago until those filters, or what they're currently doing calling everything a Jojo reference) are newfags as well, or oldfags who are very aware of what they're doing, since in my mind no normal person would post like that.
