>>55064785If you are talking about just in general, sure. But if you're talking about Vs, some of them actually have weight and personality even with the 3d models. Obviously, the non-cg art comes out on top usually, nobody is making a case for that. But I feel that CG art is wrongfully dismissed by most of the hobby just because "cg bad". I just feel like there are levels to this. Take these 2 Charizards, for example. One is obviously phoned in, in a static pose looking generic as hell. But the other is actually making an effort to look dynamic, with a dyanamic angle and action shot. I feel like CG cards can be phoned in or look great, like drawn cards can be phoned in or look great. My point is that they deserve to be viewed through a more critical lense and not dismissed due to disliking CG art being the majority viewpoint of the hobby. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
>>55065194I completely agree with your post until the point where you said
>alt arts are downgrades of the base versionsIt's your opinion and that's fine, but I disagree. Alt art Vs (and by extension Vmax' and Vstars) are stellar and blow the regular Vs out of the water imo.
