When series C comes out, A is now retired and their booster packs removed from the shop. I don't know if it'll be a 2 year rotation like the TCG, but that's probably the gist of it. When they say "your pack points won't be available to use in the future", they probably mean when those sets are rotated out. Not when the next set comes out.
