For the record I also skip every trainer battle not required to progress the game. Because random trainer battles are boring and tedious as fuck so skipping them makes the game more enjoyable. It also makes the game ever so slightly more challenging by using freshly caught mons. On the other hand, exploring and catching mons is fun.
