If your opponent gives you the chance to setup a few Calm Minds it's not rare to solo an elite trainer or at least get 4-5 of his mons. I guess it's pretty much the same as Semdemen/Unjoy or Condoom in that regard, just with a different weakness.
The combination of rock moves to take out flyers/fire/ice + fairy for dragons/dark/fight was very handy, the only downside is that you get hard countered by steel.
It hard carried the first half of the E4, didn't lose a single pokemon fighting the first 3, but fell off during the later part where Condoom was shining.
