We are trying to avoid feature/content creep, as many teams before us have succumbed to this. Our first step is just replacing all the mons in Johto with our new dex, re-doing the level curve, and changing relevant text. Changing out evil teams, professors, and all of that is currently a bit beyond our scope. We are starting small by focusing on the pokemon and core gameplay - yes, it's going to be a reskinned Johto, yes, the plot is going to stay fundamentally the same (except Lance will say "CHELONUKES, use HYPER BEAM" instead of Dragonite, Team Rocket will be selling Attacko grafts instead of slowpoketails, etcetc). The most we are going to be doing is designing new caves to put legendary mons in. I don't mean to quash your enthusiasm - making a whole new region and whatnot can be a stretch goal.
