I don't have any problem with them individually, but the fact that there's three of them, all with the same (incredibly common) type, and nearly-identical stats and move pools just reeks of laziness. It's pretty obvious that they're just there to pad out both the Pokedex, and the length of the game. If Mesprit had been the only one in the games, nothing would have changed.
