I've heard a fan theory that the evolution of Gallade from Kirlia would be looked down upon because its a branch evolution via stone, and not natural progression (oddly enough this is kind of more canon now, Gallade being the weaker of the evolutions)
It's kind of a shame, because before this I liked to think that Gallade and Gardevoir were like two halves of a whole, who covered for each others weaknesses, like in that one pic posted in this thread where Gallade is taking out a Darkrai and Gardevoir is knocking out birds with Thunderbolt.
(Although, this makes me wonder why Gallade doesn't have higher physical defense, because his attack is basically the swapped version of Gardevoir's special attack, but maybe because he's psychic they thought they'd leave the special defense alone, and he is kind of thin looking, not exactly frail)
>>15322776In my in-game run of BW2 I had Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Ice Punch and Brick Break on him. I thought it worked well to cover all of his weaknesses, also put a Expert Belt to make his hits hit harder
