I quit Pokemon for a long time and came back in B2/W2 to play with my girlfriend. I caught a Growlithe whom I kept for the entire playthrough and beyond, even when we got into the post game. However, data corruption killed my Arcanine. I could never work up the heart to play again because I loved him so much. My bro died and my desire to play Pokemon along with it.
