People really, DRASTICALLY exaggerate how much it’s flaws actually effects the enjoyability of the game though.
Lower Pokémon variety can be a let down, but there’s still plenty to choose from, and if you’ve only ever played platinum then this could bottleneck you into using a unique team.
DP also have a significantly less linear mid-game which is really appreciable.
Unironically prefer the look of DP over platinum outside of a few exceptions like Eterna Forest. Worst thing about DP, and basically the only really thing wrong with the games, is that there’s an annoying pause before everything in battle that isn’t in Platinum. It can make you wanna pull your hair out during lengthier battles
