>>34921798It's a weekend where there's not a lot planned. Might as well try doing something slightly useful, even if only about 4 people use it.
It didn't take too long, since an emulator was used to test out the best possible routes and map out every floor of the dungeon, rather than having to do it on cart (it'd take plenty of runs to figure out the best course of action and map everything without that!), and then one on-cart run to see if the strategy works.
>>34919983>>34921449I think there's more to Explorers than simply being a slightly tweaked Rescue Team. While RT and Explorers both have IQ skills, in RT, these skills are identical for every species, while in Explorers, these skills differ depending on what Pokemon has them, effectively acting as a class system of sorts. Explorers manages to go a step beyond and give Pokemon different roles; Jigglypuff functions as a supportive mon, Blaziken can dish out damage, and Ninetales can make exploring a breeze by mapping out the floor.
Swap Shop items also allow Pokemon of different species and types to do different things, too. The Sky Gem, for example, allows Flying-type Pokemon to move faster than their other teammates.
It's a pretty important feature to have, since most dungeons in PMD are not Level 1-based or item restricted, meaning these features get a chance to shine. Without them, most Pokemon would be identical, having the same capped stats, only being differentiated by an ability or two and their movesets.
