Seriously, what the fuck happened to pokemon music? I don't have the intention to incite a genwar, i'm just having a hard time guessing what's the reason behind almost every track nowadays being the most random mesh of techno sounds, sometimes even with awkward as fuck vocals mixed in. I get that times have changed, but that doesn't mean every song should turn into trap remixes. There's also this weird tradition of randomly adding in 8bit sounds everywhere just to induce "muh nostalgia", sometimes in tracks that aren't even supposed to be nostalgic at all. The legendary battle themes sound like modern hip hop rap music, for example, more than threatening, terrifying or awe inducing tracks.
