>>45083193I think the better question is to figure out how smart they are among one another. Do we really know what a Pokemon conversation and thought process is like? The anime has Meowth who has very human-like conversations with pretty much any Pokemon he sits down and chats with. I think that speaks more to the intelligence of a pokemon than if they understand human speech or can speak. Not to mention if the Mystery Dungeon games are taken into account they 100% can hold very complex conversations among one another.
