Like for example take Sword and Shield.
They tell you Sonia and Nessa are best friends. But they literally never speak to each other in game.
It's always up to spin-off games, anime or whatever to fill in all the spots, because the main game never elaborates on it. Like, "they are friends because they are." and that's it.
Maybe I'm thinking too much about a game for kids but it's really awful when games do this.
