>>21693323Overall, it feels very barebones. Like they knew a lot people would only be buying it for an update to the competitive scene. If I didn't know any better, I'd say the EXP share and overwhelming power they give you early on is so you can just blaze through the game and get straight to post-game breeding/trading/battling. It succeeds in that regard, and I love how streamlined things are, but the game lacks heart and soul, and while I enjoyed it overall, I feel bad for anyone who plays it as their first pokemon game.
