Back in Emerald I couldn't get past Juan's Gym and make it to the elite four. So I got Lanturn as a last resort because no one in my team could fight his Kingdra. I didn't expect him to do anything and that he would only prove useful for damaging and paralyzing Kingdra. Instead he ends up rekting Juan's entire team and finally advancing me forward.
