Gen 1's glitchy-ness gets way too much hate in retrospect. The game was very ambitious for the time and GF was a small, nobody studio. Plus, you need to go out of your way with specific actions to trigger many of these glitches.
DP's slow engine ruining the game is way overblown. Pokemon is best played at a slow, chilled-out pace.
Gen 4 (DPPt/HGSS) was peak Pokemon in both content and soul
Pokemon GO is a cancer on the franchise
Mega-Evolutions and Z-moves should've stayed in the game.
