>>27533245I kind of wondered if the writers originally intended May to continue on into DP, which is why she got Munchlax, etc...but then changed their minds and decided to bring in Dawn.
At the time the concept of a new female lead every series wasn't established, so I wonder what made the writers decide to axe May so quickly when she had proven more popular than Misty. It obviously doesn't matter now because I liked Dawn too, but I wonder what was going through their minds at the time.
