For me Psychic is number one. Many of my favorite mons such as gardevoir, espeon, kadabra, hypno, munna, etc, and I enjoy sweeping all the poison type trash mons evil teams love with special attack. Other than that I just pick cool or cute monsters, but I usually like to have a fire type and an electric type on my team as well.
Sadly when Gardevoir is your favorite Pokémon, people make...assumptions.
