The best guess I can tell you is that death feels more permanent and heavy than just simply saying "They're in critical condition and cannot fight". In PTU that sort of phrase would imply that they're at a number of injuries that would kill them in about 20 seconds if they keep fighting. I also assume that the DM was trying to push our hand to use our revival items early. Imo this would have worked better if he pulled this out earlier in the dungeon or if he killed one of the Human PCs.
>>46941684It honestly is. Its pretty absurd the level of power wanking the true legendary pokemon have in comparison to regular Pokemon and Humans in this campaign. Legendary & Mythical Pokemon have stats that completely overshadow (hehe) any and all regular Pokemon or Humans (twice as many in fact). They also have access to their entire movepool + tutor + TM list and also have access to these Legendary Aura's that basically make them border on invincible. The DM really wanted these Legendaries to feel "Legendary".
