Went all the way back to Rowan's place to advance the plot and magically dissolve the blackout. Took the opportunity to explore the routes to the south and caught Vanessa theTentacool, Amelia the Wingull (a Flyer at long last!) and the return of VerdeMasque the Roselia. After that, went to Sunyshore City, where Hikaru made short work of Volkner and his gym. Had a surprise encounter with Jasmine (I forgot she appeared in this gen) and Barry, who equally surprisingly didn't want to battle.

Grind the team up for the E4
Once through with those go get some of these terrible HM moves off of my team and give them better movesets, also for the E4.
On a related note, what's a fair level to enter the Sinnoh E4 anons? I know Cynthia has team members in the high 50's and low 60s, but other E4 members have much lower ones.
