>>56143882In gen 1, when lick was the only move, ghost was physical.
Dark "should have" been physical in gens 2 and 3.
Ghost "should have" been special in gens 2 and 3.
This is abundantly obvious when you see how these types began to be handled as soon as the split happened.
The reason they couldn't change ghost to special in gen 2 is BECAUSE OF COMPATIBILITY WITH GEN 1.
The reason they couldn't make dark physical in gen 2 is BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO MAKE GHOST OBSOLETE.
These types utterly flip flopped when the phys spec split come around, which shows that was the developer's true vision. Crunch special->physical. Shadow ball physical->special.
You have never even played a gen 1 or gen 2 game. And you have never played competitive ever.
The early gens (1-5) were experimental. Like alpha and beta stages of development. Gen 6 was the first modern gen. The first 1.0 version. Pre gen 6 gens are all various beta versions of development. The gens that laid the groundwork of all the features. Gen 6 finalized the type chart. Since gen 6, we have seen no more fundamental changes to game mechanics. Only minor tweaks, and gimmicks, no more groundbreaking mechanical changes.
I'm not responding to you again. You have no principles beyond a disingenuous "gen war" agenda.
