It's sad that Alder is hated and constantly shitted on by both the fans and TPCI for losing to N when he had a box legendary on his team. Box legendaries are supposed to be very powerful pokemon that no other regular pokemon can deal with in-lore. Hell, the whole point of finding the second stone and reawakening the other legendary was to be able to stand a chance against N.
Plus, Alder's old and feel into depression due to the loss of his true partner. Despite all of this, he was a wise and outgoing guy, who mentored Cheren, jumped off cliffs like a champ and fought the King of Team Plasma for the sake of everyone. He even forgave N and tried to reason with him. In MastersEX, he acts as a father figure to N when N was being schemed by Ghetsis for his legendary again.
The one time they make a champion that had heart and soul, and people shitted on him for not being a carbon copy of the last three champions.
