>>53387501You ignore what Tajiri wrote himself back in 1995, 1996 and 2018 to keep up your little inane facade. Shudo did suffer from problem but he is a treasure trove when it comes to early Pokémon, YouTube channels like DidYouKnowGaming have begun to use his blog more extensively when talking about early Pokémon. Verily so the things he writes show up in later sources like the 2012 product guide and even things like ghost Pokémon being separate from actual ghosts as seen with mimikins, Pokémon origins, the gengar poketoon and other more recent sources. As such you can't discard his works just because they hurt your sensibilities.
Indeed you keep ignoring the many ways the series constructs Pokémon which line up with Tajiri's words. Like Shudo said Pokémon has a lot of inspiration in designs but they're all at the end cute critters, which is also hinted at in Tajiri's 2018 biography, and their inspiration doesn't change what they are. This is why almost all Pokémon eat dog food like dogs in the anime, why all Pokémon bark, chew on shoes and grass, sniff the floor and whiners in HGSS, why they randomly sleep anywhere on the floor like cats and dogs in Arceus and SV, why they have zoomies in SV, why you play fetch with them, play with them with real pet toys, wash them down like real pets, why even in spin offs they are written to be like domesticated animals
>>53387530All that works in unison, and Tajiri admitted to this when stating Pokémon are like cats and dogs at least three times with the latest being from 2018. This is what people notice, both in Pokémon behavior and how the series presents Pokémon. The sources are very clear on this too, to the point that the series is open in it's rejection of the label monster as seen in Scarlet and Violet. The series does not present your inane view, it's not magical otherworldy creatures interacting with humans but humans interacting with the natural world and the fantastical critters that live within it.
