>>48224670Norman down. Team - Swellow, Linoone, Tauros, Exploud, Mega Kangaskhan, Slaking. He actually gives you the Mega Ring before this fight, didn't need it. Lead Beirut (god I love this mon), hit into lead Swellow with Nuzzle, then Charm, I expected him to U-Turn but he just decides to stay in until I Charm him. Then he swaps Tauros to try and get the super effective Earthquake off on me, but I swap new member Brasilia and Encore him into spamming EQ. He then sits there as I set up Swords Dances in his face, Fighting Gem Brick Break to activate Unburden, and then sweep his team.
On a side note, I could have actually gotten my first legendary by this point, Moltres, from one of the new side areas, if I hadn't caught Magcargo. Pretty sure it wouldn't be as useful as Nairobi has ended up being though lol
>>48224691>>48224813I see. Just don't wear yourself out.
>it's better to just avoid random trainers whenever possibleYou're probably not reading the play by plays for spoilers, but literally the last 3 bosses I've fought, 2 of which are gym leaders, have been literally easier than the random trainers. Some fights in the desert route/Norman's gym have been ridiculously scary, Norman's gym especially since I think they're fully EV/IV trained by this point.
>>48224748Deoxys-Defense and Attack are probably ridiculous to use, but I could see Normal and Speed as more high risk/high reward mons that could be considered acceptable. It's up to you, though.
>>48225069Fire Red and Emerald have similar AI if I'm not mistaken. But all of those (except RR's higher difficulties, Clover, Unbound's higher difficulties, and Blaze Black/Volt White) are pretty fun games to nuz.
