>>55586682Even so, there are better ways to share the spotlight while still making newer Pokemon feel memorable. 2 & 4 certainly still feel like they have iconic lineups although I guess it could just be age, Alola's lineup definitely feels pretty strong.
PLA is a good example though, all the new mons have either a boss fight or you ride them or they're tied to the story in some way, only a few stragglers like Overqwil get shafted.
That being said PLA introduced a couple dozen mons so it's not really comparable, though surely there's more you can do to highlight a new Pokemon than slap it on a gym leaders team and call it a day.
