My problem with UBs is that we've seen them before and done better in SMT and Digimon in that the alien beings look foreign enough without looking too much like a Pokemon that tried too hard, they also play better roles of always being hostile and beings beyond comprehension. Having them reduced to just Nihilego "protecting itself" or just some collectables post game makes them a laughing stock. What sense of danger is there when you can hurl as many beast balls as you want? You also have the Cosmog line which Cosmog itself looks like another Mario creature while the rest kinda look like generic over the top Pokemon.
