I'm working on my 8th story, and it's a doozy. The process has been long and arduous. I've been gradually chipping away at this for over a month, and I still haven't finished writing it (or even outlining the plot, for that matter). But even though it's a work in progress and I'm not totally confident in it, I think I'm reaching a point where I can start revealing it.
I'll use a serial format, posting each chapter when it's done. Tonight, I present the first chapter...
