"Tranny" used to be some cute buzzword that people would drop on the regular just like "shill","cope","____nigger","____fag", and that's a-okay. But now all of a sudden threads people suddenly take trannies super duper seriously and we regularly get threads about trannies clogging page 1 for some reason. Just yesterday there was that thread about "If pokemon stopped explicitly asking you if you were a boy or a girl, would you be affected?" which nearly reached bump limit before it got 404'd because it devolved into some weird flamewar about how trannies cause communism or some weird shit.
The question itself is irrelevant because SM/USUM already explicitly does that, but that didn't stop people from being very very serious about it. It's strange and I don't get the obsession.
