>Just gets biggerI honestly feel this is quite a forced meme based on hate for the first generations. People now expect evolutions to dramatically change and gain features just because. Since each generation tend to have fewer and fewer new Pokémon, they want everything to be completely different as in their head it increases the count of new concepts and designs. For me, it's fine when it's "essentially", but can get boring if "literally" (unless the base is pretty original and interesting)
