>>55589093I think it's because people (retard devs) look at QoL and think it removes from or detracts from trying to create player choice for a richer experience or some dumb bullshit.
So you get cucked out of the running shoes because the dev intentionally wants to induce a choice where you have to decide between paying a shit ton or waiting a while for one of the most basic conveniences in any game, and thinks this adds "depth" when all it does is just piss people off.
The hunger mechanic is also a good example of this, just a pointless and shitty mechanic that's used to try and deepen decision-making but all it boils down to is annoying the player. Like the dev played pmd and saw the hunger mechanic but had no actual idea why hunger is used in that game
